Terms of Service

Last updated: 4/2/2026

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing our website and using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Services

Expedition Insure operates as an insurance marketplace and intermediary. We are not an insurance carrier or licensed insurance advisor. We facilitate access to specialized travel insurance products underwritten by third-party licensed insurance carriers. All insurance policies are issued by the respective carrier, not by Expedition Insure.

Quotes provided through our platform are estimates based on the information you provide and are subject to final approval, underwriting, and pricing by the issuing carrier. A quote does not constitute a binding insurance contract.

3. Licensing and Disclosures

Expedition Insure is operated by Unsold Antarctica LLC. Insurance products are underwritten by licensed third-party carriers. We are authorized to distribute travel insurance in all 50 US states and the District of Columbia.

Seller of Travel: CA: 2130335-70 | WA: 604118560 | FL: ST41147 | HI: TAR-7575-0

Policy terms, conditions, and exclusions may vary by state and carrier. Please review the policy documents provided by your carrier for complete coverage details.

4. Cancellation and Refund Policy

Travel insurance policies purchased through Expedition Insure are underwritten by third-party insurance carriers. Cancellation and refund terms are governed by the specific policy documents issued by your carrier.

Free-Look Period

Most travel insurance policies include a free-look period of 10 to 15 days after purchase, during which you may cancel for a full refund of your premium, provided no claim has been filed and no insured trip has begun. The exact free-look period varies by carrier and state of residence. Refer to your policy documents for the specific timeframe that applies to your coverage.

Cancellation After the Free-Look Period

After the free-look period has expired, cancellation and refund eligibility is subject to the carrier's cancellation schedule. Some carriers may offer a pro-rata or short-rate refund; others may not permit cancellation once the free-look window has closed. Contact us to discuss your options.

Policy Cancellation vs. Trip Cancellation Coverage

Please note the distinction between cancelling your insurance policy (requesting a refund of premium) and trip cancellation coverage (a benefit within your policy that reimburses non-refundable trip costs if you need to cancel your trip for a covered reason). This section addresses policy cancellation only. Trip cancellation coverage terms are detailed in your policy documents.

How to Request a Cancellation

To request a policy cancellation, contact us at support@expeditioninsure.com. We will coordinate with your carrier to process the cancellation and any applicable refund. Please have your policy number and quote reference ready.

5. Privacy Policy

Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and share your information.

6. AI-Assisted Services

Expedition Insure may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to assist with generating quotes, answering questions, and providing information about insurance products. When you interact with our services through AI-powered interfaces (including chatbots, API integrations, or third-party AI agents via our MCP server), please be aware of the following:

  • AI-generated responses are for informational purposes only and do not constitute personalized insurance advice.
  • All quotes are estimates generated from carrier rate tables and are subject to final carrier approval and underwriting.
  • You are interacting with an AI system, not a licensed insurance advisor. For personalized advice, contact us at help@expedition.insure.
  • We collect and process information you provide during AI interactions in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Conversation data may be retained for compliance and quality purposes.

7. Limitation of Liability

Expedition Insure acts solely as an intermediary between you and insurance carriers. We do not underwrite, issue, or guarantee any insurance policy.

  • We are not responsible for claim decisions, coverage disputes, or carrier insolvency. All claims are handled directly by the issuing carrier.
  • Quotes and coverage summaries provided on our platform are for informational purposes. The policy document issued by the carrier is the governing contract.
  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, Expedition Insure's total liability for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the amount of commissions received for the specific policy at issue.
  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services.

8. Dispute Resolution

Coverage disputes: Disputes regarding coverage, claims, or policy terms should be directed to your insurance carrier. Contact information is provided in your policy documents.

Service disputes: If you have a dispute with Expedition Insure regarding our services, please contact us at help@expedition.insure. We will make a good-faith effort to resolve disputes informally within 30 days.

Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally shall be governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico, without regard to conflict of law provisions. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Bernalillo County, New Mexico.
